What does realestate.com.au accept?

realestate.com.au shows a 3D tour only when it comes from a supplier on its published list. REA’s help centre page for agents, last edited on 15 September 2026, sorts supported tours into immersive walkthroughs, which let a buyer move through the home, and 360° panoramic tours made of linked photos.

  • iGUIDE is the only tour fully integrated into the listing page, and REA recommends it. REA Group bought 61.5% of Planitar, the company behind iGUIDE, in October 2025.
  • REA waives its approval request for tours hosted by iGUIDE, Matterport and Kuula. Other listed suppliers include DIAKRIT, Metareal, REALSEE, iStaging and Box Brownie.
  • A tour from a supplier that is not on the list will not appear on a realestate.com.au listing. On realcommercial.com.au it may show in a Virtual Tour field on desktop, but not in the app.
  • The link format matters: REA asks for iGUIDE’s branded tour link, Matterport’s direct my.matterport.com link and Kuula’s embed link rather than its share link.
  • Agents add the link in the Online Tour 1 or Online Tour 2 field in Agent Admin, or through their listing uploader. A tour stops showing on a Buy listing once it is marked Sold.

Suppliers apply to REA to be added. Its enquiry form asks for the hosting platform, three links to live Australian listings that use the supplier’s tours and the number of real estate offices using it.

What does Domain accept?

Domain lets an agent add a tour link in a listing’s Virtual Tour field, and separately includes a Matterport tour with eligible Platinum Edge sale listings.

  • The Virtual Tour field, in Domain Agent Admin or the agency’s CRM, takes a web address rather than an upload. Domain says the link must lead directly to the tour, start with https:// and not redirect to any other page; other links breach its terms.
  • A listing has two link fields, Video Tour and Virtual Tour, so it can carry two of a video, a virtual tour and a 3D panorama, not all three.
  • The Matterport Suite is included in the Platinum Edge subscription for residential sale listings in designated areas, booked through Domain Skylight and captured by Domain’s photographers. It is not available for rentals, commercial listings, projects, developments or vacant land.
  • If Domain captures a property that is not then published as a live Platinum Edge sale listing within 60 days, it charges a $500 fee.
  • Domain licenses the Matterport 3D tour and drone media for Domain and the agency’s own website only. Its 2D photos and floor plans can be used on any platform, including other websites.

Elite Agent reported in April 2026 that the rollout would reach more than 1,700 suburbs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast from 1 July 2026. Domain is owned by CoStar Group, which completed its purchase of Matterport in February 2025.

Will a Veylet walkthrough show on either portal?

No: a Veylet walkthrough is not a supported portal tour on realestate.com.au or Domain today.

  • Veylet is not on realestate.com.au’s supplier list, so under REA’s own rule a Veylet link in a tour field would not appear on the listing.
  • Veylet has no integration with Domain and claims no compatibility with its Virtual Tour field. Whether a link meets Domain’s rules is Domain’s decision, so we do not suggest relying on it.
  • Neither portal runs embed code. Both take a web address, so the embed code for a walkthrough will not work inside a listing.

Each portal chooses its tour suppliers for its own reasons. If a tour inside the portal listing matters for a campaign, use a supplier that portal supports.

Where can a Veylet walkthrough go instead?

Anywhere you control the page: a private link you send, and an embed on the agency’s own website.

  • A private link. Once you have reviewed a walkthrough and sharing is enabled, you create an unlisted handoff link in your desk to send by email or message. Viewers need no account or app. Anyone who has the link can open and forward it, so share it on purpose.
  • An embed on your website. Paste the embed code into a custom HTML block on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or an agency CMS, then test the published page on a phone. The website guide covers each builder.
  • A clean ending. When the listing closes, revoke the handoff. New visits to the link and the embed stop straight away, although a copy someone already downloaded cannot be recalled.

The offer page lists what is included and says plainly that a listing on a property portal is not. Getting started explains how a walkthrough is captured, checked and reviewed before anyone sees it.

How often do these rules change?

Often enough to check before every campaign: both portals changed their 3D tour arrangements within the past year, and we checked the rules below on 24 September 2026.

Tour rules as each portal’s help centre states them, accessed 24 September 2026. Check each portal before relying on them.
